Identical Triplets: Charlie, Thomas & Harry White

Biography

Charlie, Thomas & Harry White have spent their childhood living on the coast, developing a love for the sea and water sports. Their close relationship with one another promoted competition, driving them to constantly outperform one another. Sailing enhanced this family bond along with technical development, quickly progressing through the Youth RYA programme at their local sailing institution, the Royal Victoria Yacht Club.

Aged 10, the brothers took part in their first club race sailing Optimists, this was the start of their racing journey. Success was not far away, as in 2011 the brothers along with their fellow youth members and friends were crowned the RYA OnBoard Champion of Champions, taking down a competitive field from across the South Coast representing the RVYC. The following decade saw the brothers broaden their sailing from dinghies to keelboats, racing boats such as Open 7.50, 8 Metre (Njord), First 40.7, J70, Squib, XOD, Etchell, Mermaid, X-40, X-34 and many more. Their advanced racing knowledge and ability, lead to them being named the British Young Sailors of the Year for 2022, a crowning achievement for the triplets.

The brothers have amassed extensive sailing knowledge and experience which they share with the community through volunteering as sailing instructors leading on the water and theory sessions. Sharing their passion with like-minded individuals is rewarding for the brothers as they watch others develop and grow in the same way they have done.
